TMP Technologies is a vertically integrated contract manufacturer capable of taking ideas from your napkin all the way to highly automated production including any and every step along the way.
We are organized as four independent divisions that share corporate leadership, resources, and capabilities.
TMP operates within 390,000 sq-ft of manufacturing space located in the Buffalo, NY area. We are positioned with the infrastructure and land for future growth.
From its inception, TMP Technologies has been driven by imagination and innovation. The company’s founders first introduced a patented clothesline system, laying the groundwork for a culture of inventive problem-solving. Building on this early success, they developed a novel manufacturing technique for consumer foam and sponge products, including a patented floor mop.
During these formative years, the TMP team relied heavily on their design ingenuity and fabrication expertise, engineering and building much of their own production machinery—a practice that continues to define the company today.
The 1960s marked a period of significant growth and expansion for TMP Technologies. A defining milestone came with the invention and patenting of the world’s first liquid shoe polish applicator. This breakthrough, along with subsequent innovations, firmly established TMP Technologies’ reputation as THE APPLICATOR COMPANY™.
As the business continued to grow, TMP Technologies acquired Hallmark Plastics to further streamline its manufacturing processes. Around the same time, the company invested in a single‑press injection rubber molding operation—an initiative that would later develop into one of TMP’s key affiliates, Advanced Rubber Products.
In 1996, TMP expanded its capabilities once again with the acquisition of the Foam Sciences division, adding premium hydrophilic polyurethane foam to its portfolio. Today, Foam Sciences is widely recognized as an industry leader, supplying high‑performance materials for critical medical device and cleanroom applications.
In 2003, TMP launched TRS Packaging, its fourth division, to support a major consumer products partner. Since its founding, TRS has completed several strategic growth projects to meet increasing demand. Most recently, the division opened a 290,000‑square‑foot manufacturing facility, significantly enhancing production capacity and distribution efficiency.
Innovation remains at the core of TMP Technologies. From initial concept development through product design, manufacturing, packaging, and labeling, TMP partners with entrepreneurs and established brands alike to bring foam-based products and applications to market.
Today, TMP Technologies is recognized for its high‑quality custom foam applicators, consumer foam and sponge cleaning products, and hydrophilic medical and cleanroom foam solutions. The company remains committed to its longstanding tradition of serving Fortune 500 companies, OEMs, and other large‑volume enterprises.
TMP’s in‑house Engineering Team supports customers through every stage of product development, including custom design, process development, and the design of highly automated manufacturing equipment—all with the goal of delivering reliable, high‑performance custom applicators.
Our engineers utilize state‑of‑the‑art tools such as 3D CAD modeling, CNC machining, and advanced 3D printing technologies. Robust prototyping capabilities allow us to quickly produce conceptual models, fully functional prototypes, and production‑quality sales samples.
