2016 Ride for Roswell

Ride for Roswell

TMP Rides for Roswell for the Fourth Consecutive Year

Members of the TMP team, family and friends participated in 2016’s The Ride for Roswell. Our dedicated team of more than 40 riders was able to raise over $20,000 for cancer research at Roswell Park Cancer Institute.

It was a hot one with temperatures breaching the 90 degree mark. But we didn’t let the heat slow us down. We had more riders and ended up surpassing our donation total from the previous year.

We were extremely proud to have the opportunity to participate in the charity ride. TMP Technologies would like to thank all of its participating riders and the supporting friends, family members, suppliers and partners who sponsored and contributed to 2016’s The Ride for Roswell.

The Applicator Company Fosters Youth Through Mayor’s Internship Program

TMP Technologies once again participated in Mayor Byron Brown’s Summer Internship Youth Internship Program, which places young people, ages 14-21, in worthwhile internships in a variety of industries. TMP Technologies had two Erie Community College students join their team for six weeks. They worked on the plant floor performing a number of various manufacturing activities. The student interns learned about the responsibilities and tasks of the different departments at TMP Technologies. They assisted fellow TMP team members, participated in all aspects of day-to-day operations and gained valuable experience along the way.

This is the second straight year TMP Technologies has participated in Mayor Brown’s program. We look forward to bettering our neighboring communities by involving the youth and opening avenues of opportunity for them through the manufacturing industry.

TMP Technologies was proud to participate in the 2015 Ride for Roswell. This marked the third year the Buffalo manufacturing company took part in the charity bicycle race. There was a tremendous turnout despite the inclement weather.

Through its several subsidiaries, TMP Technologies was able to assemble a team of 41 riders, that collectively raised $18,500. All of the money raised during the Ride for Roswell goes to cancer research at Roswell Park Cancer Institute, one of the world’s largest leading cancer research facilities.

Raising $18,500 was the 34th highest total of all teams of riders. TMP Technologies would like to thank all of its participating riders and the supporting friends, family, suppliers and partners who sponsored and contirbuted to the $4.6 million total raised for the Ride for Roswell.

The DIDI WNY program’s mission is to educate young people and employ the next generation of manufacturing talent. The summer internship program provides 20 young people with a six week paid internship at various companies in the city of Buffalo. As the program is now partnered with the Dream It Do It initiative, TMP is excited to host and educate interns as one of eight manufacturing facilities involved in the program. TMP will teach the interns how to be a full time employee which will help fill the pipeline with qualified talent for manufacturing positions in Erie and Niagara counties.

There are currently over one thousand unfilled full time manufacturing positions in the area and TMP’s partnership efforts aim to help fill those positions and help the Western New York economy continue to grow.
